Leaving Home
The film follows a young man on the verge of leaving for college as his family moves away from his hometown, severing his last tie to the place he grew up.
It's a story about the push and pull of small-town life — the romanticism of riding bikes down empty roads, exploring abandoned buildings, and feeling rooted in every corner of a town you know by heart. But that intimacy comes with confinement.
Opportunity for a bigger life only exists somewhere else, and it requires the sacrifice of leaving. When he finally tells his best friend, the conversation he's been dreading becomes the one that gives him permission to go.

Fundraising
I pitched the concept to a university grant committee, developed a detailed budget proposal, and secured over $3,500 in funding through a combination of scholarships and independent fundraising to fully finance the production.
